english gematria is a numerological technique for counting the numeric value of words and phrases. It is believed that it has origins in Jewish, Greek, and Roman tradition. Using this technique, each letter in a word or phrase can be assigned a numerical value. Gematria assesses the inherent meaning of the words and phrases based on the total numerical values derived from letter assignments.
The English alphabet consists of twenty-six letters divided by nine numbers (A=1, B=2, C=3, etc.) thus forming nine single digits. Under English Gematria these single digits are combined to form multiples of nine. Multiples of nine are used to explore deeper levels of meaning associated with words and phrases.
For example under English Gematria let's look at the phrase "Sacrifice": The S(19) + A(1) + C(3) + R(18) + I(9) + F(6) + I(9) + C(3) + E (5) = ==> 64 To break this down further we would incorporate multiples of 9: 6+4 = 10 (1+0 = 1). Single digit numbers also derive their power from their association with geometric forms such as triangles, and squares. This means that if we assign our sacrifice phrase a number less than 9 such as 1 or 2 , it will create an array of unique interpretations associated with its respective geometric properties and spiritual messages.
Gematria is used in many occult circles to discover hidden messages behind familiar phrases or manifestations of divine presence within words and sentences as well as understanding prophetic literature within works such as holy books such as The Bible or The Quran. Gematria can also be used to decipher symbols such as tarot cards or astrological signs in order to gain insights into one's spiritual path.
